Job summary

Premier Farnell is seeking an experienced engineer to design and assist in the development of semi-custom ASICs, FPGAs, and board level systems in Singapore. The role involves architecture, coding, synthesis, simulation, testing, and debugging of electronic systems, along with providing task estimates and aligning toolsets to customer objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ASIC/FPGA design, simulation, and debugging.
• Experience in customer-facing design support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architects, codes, synthesizes, simulates, tests and debugs electronic systems.
• Provides estimates for completion of tasks and activities.
• Understands customer objectives to determine optimum tools and methods.
• Maintains and documents design tools and procedures.
• Develops customer proposals and user procedures; writes application notes.
• Acts as the technical representative to clients and suppliers.
