Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore seeks an FPGA engineer to translate customer and system-level requirements into detailed FPGA specifications and to perform hands‑on design, verification, and integration for aerospace and defense applications. You will ensure FPGA subsystems function correctly within larger electronic warfare, avionics, or communications systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years combined systems engineering and FPGA experience.
• Familiar with ISO 15288 or similar.
• Proficient with scripting for automation.
• Understanding of verification & validation methodologies.
• DSP fundamentals a plus.
• Exposure to safety/security standards advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• System engineering duties: elicit analyze and manage requirements; define architecture and allocate to subsystems.
• FPGA design duties: architect, code (VHDL/Verilog), simulate, implement on platforms; perform timing closure.
• Integration & validation: HIL testing, software-driver validation, documentation generation.
• Prepare comprehensive firmware/software development specifications.
