Job summary

Avnet in Singapore seeks a seasoned hardware design engineer responsible for designing and assisting customers in ASIC/FPGA and board level systems. You will architect, code, synthesize, simulate, test and debug electronic systems to meet customer objectives.

You will also estimate task completion, evaluate tools, write application notes, and represent Avnet's technical capabilities to clients and suppliers, contributing to proposals and customer designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years in hardware design.
• Experience architecting, coding, simulating, and debugging electronic systems.
• Proficiency with design tools and ability to document methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Architects, codes, synthesizes, simulates, tests and debugs electronic systems.
• Provides estimates for completion of tasks and activities.
• Understands customer’s business and technical objectives to determine optimum tools, devices, and methods the company can offer to assist in the achievement of those objectives.
• Evaluates, recommends, specifies, installs and maintains design tools.
• Develops and documents customer proposals, designs, methodologies and user procedures.
• Writes application notes.
• Serves as the company's technical representative to clients and suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned.
