Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to support payroll operations across Asia (Australia, Korea, Japan, Singapore) under the Payroll Director. You will help prepare, validate and reconcile payroll data, respond to queries, and support process improvements.

Strong Workday Payroll experience and Excel skills are essential. You will collaborate with vendors and internal partners to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll delivery while contributing to cross-country initiatives

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of payroll processing experience in Asia region
• Experience in a multinational, high-growth company
• Solid understanding of statutory payroll requirements including taxes and reporting
• Experience with Workday Payroll or similar HRIS/payroll system
• Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Familiarity with case management tools, SLAs, and metrics

Responsibilities

• Support payroll processing by preparing, validating, and reconciling data with cross-border countries in Asia
• Perform pre- and post-processing checks to identify discrepancies
• Collaborate with payroll vendors to troubleshoot issues and meet SLAs
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and country-specific regulations
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries via case management tools
• Identify scalable process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain and update payroll process documentation
• Contribute to payroll-related projects and system testing in the Asia region
