Job summary

P & T CONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Architectural Coordinator to coordinate architectural works with consultants and project stakeholders.

You will review drawings, specs, and technical documents, identify coordination requirements, and provide practical technical solutions to ensure timely resolution of design and site issues. The role requires coordinating with consultants on architectural submissions, BIM modelling, and ensuring compliance with project requirements

Qualifications

• Requires NTC, ITE, Diploma in Architecture, or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of architectural experience in practice or construction.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; BIM knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience preparing and coordinating architectural submissions to government authorities and tender/construction drawings.
• Solid knowledge of local building regulations and codes.
• Able to work independently with strong organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience conducting BIM clash detection and coordination reviews.

Responsibilities

• Attend coordination meetings with consultants and stakeholders to address architectural and technical matters.

• Coordinate architectural works to resolve design and site-related issues promptly.
• Provide practical technical solutions to architectural and coordination problems during construction.

• Monitor progress and follow up on outstanding issues to keep on schedule.
• Identify and report technical or site issues affecting progress or quality.
• Liaise with project team to ensure timely resolution of architectural issues.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submissions, and architectural documentation when required.
• Assist in coordinating architectural works with structural and other specialist works to minimize conflicts.
• Maintain records of site observations and coordination actions.
• Support the Architectural Manager as needed.

• Attend coordination meetings, site meetings, and discussions with consultants and relevant project stakeholders to address architectural and technical matters.
• Review and study architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify coordination requirements and potential site issues.
• Coordinate architectural works with consultants and relevant parties to resolve technical, design, and site-related issues in a timely manner.
• Provide practical technical solutions to architectural and coordination issues arising during the construction process.
• Ensure architectural works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Monitor the progress of architectural works and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure that works remain on schedule.
• Identify and highlight any technical, coordination, or site issues that may affect the progress or quality of architectural works.
• Report and provide regular updates to the Project Director/Project Manager on technical issues, site conditions, progress, and any matters requiring further attention.
• Liaise closely with project team members, and relevant parties to ensure effective coordination and timely resolution of architectural issues.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and other architectural documentation where required.
• Assist in ensuring that architectural works are properly coordinated with structural, and other specialist works to minimize site conflicts and delays.
• Maintain proper records of site observations, technical issues, coordination matters, and follow-up actions.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Director, Project Manager, or management.

Requirements

• Possess an NTC, ITE, Diploma in Architecture, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant architectural experience in a professional practice or construction environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD drafting; knowledge and experience in BIM technology will be an advantage.
• Experienced in preparing and coordinating architectural submissions to relevant government authorities, as well as tender and construction drawings.
• Good knowledge and understanding of local building regulations, codes, and statutory requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in conducting BIM clash detection and coordination reviews, as well as carrying out BIM modelling works.
• Able to coordinate architectural drawings and documentation to support the smooth execution of projects.
• Provide support and assistance to the Architectural Manager as required.
