Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in the architectural industry in Singapore or Malaysia.
• Able to work within a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with building regulations (Singapore or Malaysia).
• Strong portfolio of work.
• Good working attitude, proactive and conscientious.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and other professionals at early stage to agree on project brief.
• Develop project briefs and progress them through construction.
• Prepare design proposals using CAD and traditional drawing methods.
• Contribute to planning applications and regulatory procedures.
• Understand how design aspects influence performance and functionality for early addressing of issues.
• Follow up with the detailed design process and coordinate design information.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain statutory approval.
• Coordinate and liaise with consultants on the project team.
• Advise clients on procuring suitable contracts for the work undertaken.
• Lead the preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings.
• Assist in administering contracts and project certifications.
• Obtain client feedback on work in progress and finished results.
• Make site visits to check progress and ensure schedules are met.
• Solve problems that might occur during building/construction stage.
• Carry out defect inspections.
• Manage the work of junior staff/direct reports.
