Job summary

B-Global Tech is seeking a Senior Architect to lead data centre design and delivery from concept through construction. You will mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, compliant designs.

The role requires 8+ years post-qualification experience in an architectural consultancy, strong BIM skills (Revit) and fluency in English. Hybrid work, laptop provided, and competitive benefits are offered.

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Architect to lead the design and delivery of data centre and mission-critical projects. You will be responsible for developing innovative, high-performance facilities from concept through construction, working closely with clients, consultants, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, efficient, and technically robust design solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will provide design leadership, oversee architectural documentation, coordinate complex project requirements, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and industry standards. This is an opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the growth of a rapidly evolving sector.

What will be your responsibilities?

Architectural Design & Documentation

• Lead the design and development of data centre and architectural projects from concept through construction completion.
• Develop site planning, building massing, and spatial layouts that optimize operational efficiency, cooling strategies, maintenance access, and overall functionality.
• Prepare, review, and oversee architectural drawings, specifications, design presentations, construction documentation, and permit submissions.
• Prepare and present feasibility studies, design proposals, and technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Drive the adoption of sustainable, innovative, and industry-leading design practices.

Design Coordination

• Coordinate and integrate architectural designs with MEP, structural, civil, and fire protection systems to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to define project objectives and deliver successful outcomes.
• Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and key milestones while maintaining design quality and technical excellence.

Regulatory Compliance & Approvals

• Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, safety requirements, and data centre industry standards, including UBBL, BOMBA, NFPA, FM Global, and Uptime Institute Tier requirements.

Construction Support

• Conduct site visits and provide architectural support during construction to ensure design intent is properly executed.

Professional Development

• Mentor, supervise, and provide technical guidance to junior architects and designers.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in architecture and data centre design.

This is the profile we are looking for

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture (ARB/RIBA accredited or equivalent international qualification).
• Part III qualification or full professional registration (ARB, RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is preferred; candidates working towards registration are welcome to apply.
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design, with exposure to data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale commercial facility projects.
• Candidates must come from a consultancy background; prior experience working within an architectural or engineering design consultancy is mandatory.
• Strong project leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering complex architectural projects.
• Experience producing detailed design and construction documentation within a BIM environment.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit/BIM and AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of building codes, planning regulations, fire safety requirements, and technical design standards.
• Familiarity with data centre design standards and guidelines, including Uptime Institute Tier requirements and EN 50600, is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is a mandatory requirement.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Collaborative team player with experience working in multidisciplinary project environments.
