• Produce design review reports, impact assessments and Engineering Bulletins for priority issues.
• Update construction specifications based on site feedback.
• Develop conceptual CAD/BIM sketches for spatial and dimensional validation.
• Present technical findings, options and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Job description

Lead Architecture and Fire Safety design across a major data centre campus in Singapore — from buildings and technical yards through to the wider site.

This is a senior technical role for an architect who can challenge A/E consultants, peer-review complex designs and turn technical issues into clear, buildable decisions.

About the role

You’ll provide technical leadership across Architecture and Fire Safety, working with design consultants, engineers, project managers, construction managers and contractors.

The focus is design assurance: ensuring proposals meet global standards, work in the local Singapore environment, make commercial sense and can be delivered without unnecessary programme or construction risk.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical review of architectural and fire safety designs across the data centre campus.


• Review consultant drawings, specifications, calculations, models and design documentation.


• Challenge designs against global standards, regional suitability, cost, programme and business case.


• Identify value-engineering and design optimisation opportunities.


• Resolve technical comments and support design teams through stage-gate approvals.


• Escalate design issues with potential programme impact.


• Produce design review reports, impact assessments and Engineering Bulletins for priority issues.


• Update construction specifications based on site feedback.

Requirements

• Proven experience reviewing and coordinating multidisciplinary consultant design packages.


• Strong understanding of fire safety / life safety design and its integration with architectural design.


• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, BIM models and technical submissions.


• Able to challenge consultants constructively and make clear technical recommendations.


• Comfortable working across design, construction, commercial and programme considerations.


• Strong stakeholder communication and technical reporting capability.


• Data centres, mission-critical facilities or other technically intensive buildings.


• Hyperscale, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing or major infrastructure environments.


• BIM360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.


• CAD and BIM authoring/review.


• Experience working with international design standards alongside Singapore/local requirements.
