Job summary

ITW PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Applications Engineer to act as a technical and market-facing expert, supporting growth through application development, customer consultation, demos, and solution-based selling.

Collaboration across Sales, Service, Marketing, and Global Product Teams is key. The ideal candidate has strong materials testing experience, problem-solving skills, and business insight, with fluency in English.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or above in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of experience in materials testing, laboratory environments, or application engineering.
Hands-on experience with universal testing systems, materials characterization, or related testing equipment.
Experience supporting customers in industrial, research, or quality environments.
Fluent English communication skills and ability to present technical content clearly.

Responsibilities

Provide timely pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and internal stakeholders.
Analyze testing requirements and propose optimized equipment configurations and solutions.
Conduct sample testing, application development, and product demonstrations.
Prepare technical reports and recommendations based on test results.
Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Product teams to drive market expansion.
