Job summary

GMP Technologies is seeking a Senior Application Manager with a physics background to drive the transition from R&D concepts to industrial-scale reader devices and security detection technologies in Singapore.

You will lead cross-functional teams, perform DOE analyses, and collaborate with partners to commercialize new tech while delivering clear demonstrations and client training.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics or related field.
• 8–10+ years in R&D applying electronics/embedded tech.
• Deep knowledge of radiation sources, spectroscopy, or reader devices.
• Experience commercializing new tech for international project teams.
• Industrial manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and ability to explain complex science simply.
• Collaborative, hands-on, solutions-focused mindset.
• Willing to travel and work flexible hours to bridge global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of reader devices and security detection technology from R&D to industrial scale.
• Perform DOE of measurements and simulations and compile insights into actionable plans.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to design and manufacture next-generation detection units.
• Improve existing technologies and develop new measurement methods to ensure top-tier detection performance.
• Provide technical training and support to clients and be Point of Contact.
• Manage a R&D lab, guide your team's growth, and ensure projects stay on track and deliver exceptional results.
• Prepare clear, compelling demonstrations for stakeholders and potential clients.
• Oversee rapid development of POCs for concept validation.
• Report findings to management and stakeholders with clarity and precision.
