Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Singapore seeks an experienced Security Systems Engineer to lead installation, configuration, integration, testing, and commissioning of secure building solutions.

You will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to deliver systems meeting client specifications while upholding safety standards and quality. This role requires strong communication, problem solving, and travel readiness for international projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer & Science, Instrumentations, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in installation, configuration, or servicing of security platforms.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Lenel OnGuard, LenelS2, Gallagher, Genetec, Milestone, Senstar, and Traka.
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and conversation.
• Computer literacy and networking knowledge, including MS Windows, Linux, Office, LAN, and Fiber Optic.
• Travel willingness for domestic and international assignments.

Responsibilities

• Handle engineering, configuration, integration, testing, and implementation of security solutions from design to commissioning.
• Work with project managers, technical managers, construction teams, and vendors to deliver systems meeting specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation: shop drawings, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, programming matrices.
• Develop system architecture and technical specifications; review material orders for alignment with project requirements.
• Support FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning activities and troubleshooting.
• Identify and resolve configuration, software, and integration issues.
• Promote health and safety policies across project operations and contracts.
• Provide on-site support and customer relations as needed.

What you will do:

In this role, you will handle the engineering, configuration, integration, testing, and technical implementation of security solutions from design through commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, technical managers, construction teams, commissioning engineers, clients, and third-party vendors to deliver integrated systems that meet project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.

How you will do it:

• Prepare and provide technical documentation, including shop drawings, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and programming matrices.
• Develop and review system architecture, security system designs, device schedules, and technical specifications.
• Ensure correct specifications and material orders are aligned with project requirements.
• Ascertain design needs and help develop project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with customers, SM/PM, and relevant stakeholders to monitor work progress and support expedited installation.
• Perform inspection, setup, testing, and commissioning of electronic security system installations, including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercoms/Public Address, and Electronic Lock and keys.
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), pre-commissioning activities, and troubleshooting.
• Identify and resolve system configuration issues, software-related issues, integration challenges, and technical queries.
• Promote and practice health and safety policies and procedures throughout project operations and client contracts.
• Carry out and encourage proactive customer relations.
• Provide on-site placement when needed.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in Electronics, Computer & Science, Instrumentations, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in installation, configuration, or servicing of Lenel OnGuard, CCURE 9000, AMAG, BVMS, Interlogix, PIDS, DSC, Kantech, or HID.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Software House, LenelS2, Gallagher, Genetec, Milestone, Senstar, and Traka.
• English proficiency in reading, writing, and conversation.
• Computer literacy and networking knowledge, including MS Windows, Linux, Office, LAN, and Fiber Optic.
• Experience in civil and electrical construction works.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with vendors and make decisions using industry-standard knowledge.
• One or more certifications in Lenel OnGuard, CCURE 9000, AMAG, or BVMS.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revu BlueBeam.
• Ability to provide technical assistance as needed to related parties.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
