Job summary

JOHNSON CONTROLS (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Security Application Engineer to design, configure, and implement Electronic Security Systems for data centers and critical infrastructure.

You will handle technical submissions, system programming, testing, and integration with project stakeholders. The role involves FAT/SAT support, site commissioning, documentation, and coordinating with project managers, clients and vendors to meet complex specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience in installation, configurations or servicing enterprise security platforms.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms (Lenel, CCURE 9000, AMAG, BVMS, etc.).
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux, networking, and office tools.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Provide technical documentation (Shop Drawing/As Built Drawing, Operation Manual and Maintenance, Programming Matrix, and etc.).
• Develop and review system architecture, security system designs, device schedules, and technical specifications.
• Ensure correct specification and material order based on Project Requirement.
• Collaborate with Customer, SM/PM, and relevant parties to monitor work progress for expedite installation.
• Performing Inspect, Setup, Testing and commissioning electronics security system installation (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercoms/Public Address, Electronic Lock and keys) and documentation.

Job description

What you will do:

As a Security Application Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering, configuration, integration, testing, and technical implementation of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for data centers, commercial buildings, and critical infrastructure projects. You will support project delivery through technical submissions, system programming, configuration, troubleshooting, and coordination with projectstakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.

You will work closely with project managers, technical managers, construction teams,commissioning engineers, clients, and third-party vendors to deliver integrated security solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

How you will do it:

• Prepare/Provide technical documentation (Shop Drawing/As Built Drawing, Operation Manual and Maintenance, Programming Matrix, and etc.)
• Develop and review system architecture, security system designs, device schedules, and technical specifications.
• Ensure correct specification and material order based on Project Requirement
• Ability to ascertain design needs to help develop project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with Customer, SM/PM, and relevant parties to monitor work progress for expedite installation
• Performing Inspect, Setup, Testing and commissioning electronics security system Installation (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm, Intercoms/Public Address, Electronic Lock and keys) and documentation
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT),pre-commissioning activities, and troubleshooting.
• Identify and resolve system configuration issues, software-related issues, integration challenges, and technical queries.
• Ensure that the company health and safety policies and procedures for all employees is promoted and practiced throughout the Project Operation and for client contracts as appropriate
• Carry out and encourage proactive customer relations
• On site placement if needed

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s Degree from reputable university, majoring in Electronics, Computer & Science, Instrumentations, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5 years of relevantexperience in Installation, Configurations or Servicing one or more Lenel OnGuard, CCURE 900, AMAG, BVMS, Interlogix, PIDS, DSC, Kantech, HID
• Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Software House, LenelS2, Gallagher, Genetec, Milestone, Senstar, and Traka.
• Computer literature and Networking (Ms Windows, Linux, Office, LAN, Fiber Optic)
• Experience in civil and electrical construction works
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate to vendors and make decisions using industry standard knowledge
• Has one or more Lenel Onguard, CCURE 9000, AMAG, BVMS certification is a plus
• Experience in AutoCAD or Revu BlueBeam
• Provide technical assistance as needed to related parties.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally
