Job summary

GovTech, the Government Technology Agency of Singapore, seeks an experienced application support specialist for MEPS+ and MAS securities operations. You will monitor production health, implement SLIs/SLOs, and manage patching, audits, and incident response within a regulatory ICT governance framework.

You will work with Java/J2EE, SQL, Linux, and modern observability tools to ensure reliable financial market infrastructures and secure services for interbank payments and government securities

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in application support, operations, or site reliability engineering in financial infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on Java/J2EE troubleshooting in production environments.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and production support.
• Experience with Linux/RHEL and shell scripting.
• Understanding of integration patterns, web services, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Grafana, ELK).
• Knowledge of security, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Experience handling audits and ICT governance requests.
• Ability to write clear incident reports and post-incident reviews.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and job scheduling (Autosys).
• Exposure to SWIFT interfaces and file transfers (SFTP/MQ).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production health; investigate errors and alerts to ensure service availability.
• Define and refine SLIs/SLOs to reduce false positives and improve signal quality.
• Understand architecture and integration points for effective troubleshooting.
• Conduct daily health checks and maintain system observability.
• Coordinate monthly/quarterly patching with infra teams and document outcomes.
• Assist with security assessments, vulnerability remediation and audit responses.
• Develop contingency drills and participate in incident management cycles.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and continuous improvement.
