Job summary

Grey Tree in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to own supplier payments and drive process improvements across the finance function. You will manage end-to-end AP, review payment requests with internal teams and banks, and support month-end close with accruals.

The role requires at least five years in accounts payable or finance operations, strong Excel skills, and a willingness to apply coding or scripting (Python) to automate processes in a trading or multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline (professional qualification a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of accounts payable or finance operations experience, ideally within a trading or multinational environment.
• Strong working knowledge of an ERP system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Coding or scripting ability (Python preferred), with an interest in applying it to finance automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supplier invoice processing and prepare regular payment batches.
• Review and confirm payment requests with internal teams and banks, and resolve complex queries and escalations.
• Perform AP reconciliations and support month-end close, including accruals.
• Act as the point of cover and continuity for the team, and guide junior team members where needed.
• Assist with periodic regulatory and statutory submissions.
• Lead or support process improvement projects and other finance work as required.
