GovTech Singapore is seeking a hands-on Accounts Payable professional to run and improve AP operations, ensuring timely payments and strict controls. You will work across Finance, Procurement and business teams to resolve issues, drive process improvements and ensure accuracy in the procure-to-pay cycle.

The role emphasizes data-driven insights, collaboration with multiple stakeholders and ongoing system enhancements, with a 1-year contract and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Finance operations or a similar operational Finance role.
• Good understanding of invoice-to-payment processes, reconciliations and Finance controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently investigate and resolve operational issues.
• Comfortable working with Finance/ERP systems and using data to manage operations.
• Experience improving processes rather than only operating within established procedures.
• Able to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and explain Finance requirements clearly.
• Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining both timeliness and accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, exception handling and supplier/internal queries.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payment issues and operational backlogs, and drive issues through to resolution.
• Support AP reconciliations, month-end closing and audit requirements.
• Investigate recurring errors or bottlenecks and improve processes, controls and workflows.
• Work with Procurement, Finance and business teams to resolve issues across the procure-to-pay process.
• Use operational data to track AP performance, identify problem areas and support process improvements.
• Support system and process changes, including testing and implementation of improvements to Finance workflows.
• Ensure AP procedures and controls are clear, practical and consistently applied.
