Job summary

Ministry of Education in Singapore is seeking a Senior Head or Senior/ Lead Manager, Data and Analytics in the Higher Education Planning Office. The role conducts research and comparative studies to build a knowledge base for educational policy and reviews.

You will identify, collect and analyse data to support policy development and collaborate with Institutes of Higher Learning and agencies. This is an individual contributor role.

Qualifications

• Background in quantitative disciplines such as statistics, applied mathematics, business analytics, data science or economics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to analyse complex datasets.
• Interest in data analytics and familiarity with data management, statistical methods/packages and analytical tools.
• Ability to work both independently and in teams, with diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and good perspective in policy contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and comparative studies to build a knowledge base on Singapore's higher education sector.
• Identify, collect and analyse data to support educational policy development and reviews.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to conduct research and plan manpower pipelines for the economy.
• Manage higher education data and facilitate data requests from government agencies.
• Support data capability development across the Higher Education Group in MOE.
