Job summary

The Ministry of Law, Singapore is building its data and analytics capability. The Data Analyst will turn operational, programme and policy questions into clear, reliable insights that support decision-making across the division.

The officer will work with structured and unstructured data, develop dashboards and analytical products, support programme evaluation, and help MED team members use data more effectively. This role focuses on collecting, analysing and communicating data.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in data analytics, statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, public policy, social sciences or a related discipline, with relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, programme evaluation or operations analytics.

Responsibilities

• Review, clean and document MED's datasets; develop data dictionaries and validation rules.
• Develop and enhance Tableau and Excel dashboards; present findings with recommendations.
• Conduct programme evaluation using MOF framework and prepare reports.
• Identify trends, patterns, anomalies and risks in MED operations; perform root-cause analyses.
• Apply text analytics to unstructured data to surface insights.
• Explore AI-enabled analytics with governance and oversight.
• Support stakeholder engagement and capability building for analytics.
