Job summary

AVATAR MODERN TECHNO SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Unix L2/L3 Support Engineer to provide 24x7 operational support for enterprise datacenter and cloud environments.

The role emphasizes incident management, automation, and system administration across Linux, Solaris, and AIX. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills across Unix platforms, scripting abilities in Shell/Python, and experience with automation and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or IT related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of Unix/Linux system administration and support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting across Linux, Solaris, and AIX in enterprise-scale data center and cloud environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 administration and operational support for Linux, Solaris, and AIX servers in data center and cloud environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations and lifecycle management of Unix/Linux platforms.
• Manage virtualization and clustering technologies, OS hardening, capacity management and performance tuning.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management activities with cross-functional teams.
• Support 24x7 operations, on-call rotations, shift-based work, and adherence to SLAs.
