Job summary

NCS is seeking a (Senior) AI Consultant to help clients identify AI opportunities and translate them into tangible outcomes. You will collaborate with senior client leaders and multidisciplinary teams to move from business problem to AI opportunity to solution and measurable impact.

This role blends structured problem solving with hands-on AI prototyping, requiring engagement with engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver prototypes, MVPs, and deployable solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 2–6 years of experience in management/strategy consulting, AI consulting, forward deployed engineering, digital transformation, or related fields.
• Experience in AI strategy, process transformation, operational excellence, or digital transformation.
• Strong analytical, strategic, commercial, and structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across all levels, and independently lead engagements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and client-facing skills.
• Strong interest in AI with demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively in your work.

Responsibilities

• Assess client AI readiness, data maturity, business processes, and operational challenges.
• Identify and prioritise AI, automation, and transformation opportunities based on business value and feasibility.
• Develop AI strategies, business cases, transformation roadmaps, and implementation plans.
• Redesign processes and operating models to embed AI effectively into business operations.
• Lead client engagements and manage delivery with a high degree of independence.
• Facilities workshops and engage stakeholders across all levels, including C-suite executives.
• Advise clients on AI investment priorities, solution approaches, and build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions.
• Build trusted client relationships through structured thinking, sound judgement, impartial advisory and practical problem solving.
