Job summary

Penguin Solutions is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales as the technical visionary translating complex challenges into end-to-end AI solutions. You will guide customers through architecture, security, and performance requirements in collaboration with the sales team.

The role is highly technical and customer-facing, requiring deep expertise in HPC, AI/ML, and data center infrastructure, with travel as needed to engage clients and partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing, pre-sales technical role such as Solutions Architect or Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Hands-on experience designing large-scale enterprise systems (AI/ML, HPC, Big Data, or enterprise software).
• Excellent presentation, whiteboarding, and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple design/architecture projects in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Understanding of software, hardware, and networking interplay in modern data centers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor across HPC, Cloud, and AI/ML for secure enterprise environments.
• Partner with sales to identify, qualify, architect, and close opportunities including prime contractors and integrators.
• Lead technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, ensuring alignment with requirements and Penguin Solutions capabilities.
• Interpret customer mission, security, and performance requirements; contribute to end-to-end architectures.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, architecture reviews, and solution briefings for Federal customers and partners.
• Liaise between sales and internal teams to ensure feasible, differentiated, and deliverable solutions.
• Provide Operations with clear product, cluster, networking, and design intent for factory-integrated deployments.
• Support competitive positioning by articulating Penguin Solutions value proposition.
• Travel domestically/internationally to support customer meetings and workshops.
