Job summary

Hong Kong Unison Limited seeks an experienced Senior AI Engineer to drive scalable, production-grade AI solutions. You will combine AI/ML expertise with strong software engineering, emphasizing microservices and multi-language development, while mentoring junior engineers.

You will design end-to-end ML pipelines, develop agentic AI systems, and lead architecture discussions with product and platform teams, ensuring high availability and robust CI/CD for ML deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production ML modeling experience
• Experience building autonomous AI agents with tool use, reasoning, planning, and multi-step task execution
• Proficiency in Python and Java
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices
• 5+ years in microservices architecture
• Experience with MLOps practices, monitoring, and deployment strategies
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure ML services

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and AI solutions
• Build agentic AI systems with autonomous decision-making, planning, and task execution
• Develop multi-agent systems with tools, planning, and memory
• Create large-scale ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and inference
• Implement state-of-the-art algorithms in NLP, CV, recommender systems, or analytics
• Conduct experiments and iterate to improve performance
• Stay updated with AI/ML research and apply new techniques
• Design robust microservices architectures for AI/ML apps
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven systems
• Ensure high availability and performance of AI services
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for ML models
• Mentor engineers and data scientists
• Lead technical design discussions and architectural decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering excellence
• Drive technical innovation and tool adoption
