Job summary

UBS is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Platform Engineer in Singapore to design and deliver scalable AI solutions across our engineering ecosystem. You will create agentic frameworks, AI-first APIs, and enterprise knowledge systems to support our trading and platform services.

You will work with platform engineers, quant-developers, and DevOps to embed AI into workflows, ensuring governance, security and cost efficiency across models and tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software/AI engineering or ML engineering.
• Strong Python development skills for production-grade distributed systems.
• Hands-on with LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, prompts and context engineering.
• Experience designing APIs, microservices and cloud-native apps.
• Knowledge of vector search, semantic retrieval and knowledge management architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD and modern delivery practices.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Splunk, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry.
• Solid security, governance and operational controls for enterprise AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable AI solutions across engineering ecosystem.
• Build unified knowledge layer for AI agents with governance and retrieval.
• Develop AI-first APIs across platform services (KDB, Airflow, storage, observability).
• Create agentic apps like conversational assistants and autonomous support agents.
• Develop reusable frameworks to deploy autonomous AI agents for MR reviews and remediation.
• Enable AI-enabled analytics with governance and data controls.
• Define evaluation frameworks for accuracy, latency and cost across platforms.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, quant-developers, DevOps and ops teams.
