Job summary

Olympus Corporation in Singapore is seeking a full-time Senior Executive, Accounts to join the Operations Division, Finance team. You will be accountable for accurate financial reporting, effective period-end closing, and oversight of Accounts Payable operations delivered by an outsourced service provider.

You will also support internal stakeholders and provide backup assistance for payment processing. The role requires governance of GL, reconciliations, asset accounting, and strong SAP

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3–5 years’ experience in General Ledger, financial reporting and month-end closing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Exposure to Accounts Payable processes or outsourced providers is advantageous.
• External audit experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Validating postings, preparing journals, accruals, provisions, reclassifications and period-end adjustments.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis and variance investigations.
• Maintaining fixed asset register and asset capitalisations/transfers/disposals.
• Administering cost centre and profit centre master data in SAP.
• Completing quarterly GST reconciliations and supporting statutory reporting.
• Delivering timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Preparing audit schedules and supporting internal and external audits.
• Reviewing payment proposals and processing manual bank payments when required.
• Resolving AP queries from stakeholders and supporting finance projects.
