Job summary

Elmwood Group is seeking an accounting professional to manage complete client accounting sets and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in Singapore.

You will prepare financial reports, handle GST and regulatory filings, and support clients with process improvements and system implementations as needed. Collaboration with auditors and tax agents is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in tax computation is advantageous.
• Consolidation of accounts experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of Accounts for Clients independently.
• Ensure timely, accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end closing.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting with supporting schedules (balance sheet, fixed assets, prepayments, FRS116).
• Prepare yearly financial statements for local authority annual filing.
• GST registration, quarterly reporting and submission.
• Support team members in maintaining strong client relationships.
• Cover duties of teammates during their absence.
• Outsource accounting & finance duties to clients as needed.
• Communicate with clients to gather project scope and coordinate team members to meet goals.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and local authorities on behalf of clients.
• Assist in compliance with finance and tax filing requirements, audits and procedures.
• Assist in client processes and system implementations, if any.
• Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Experience in forecasting and budgeting is advantageous.

• Outsource to client for accounting & finance duties;
• Communicating with clients and gathering information about a project’s scope, assembling and coordinating team members to meet clients’ or businesses’ goals;
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, local tax and government authorities on behalf of client;
• Support and ensure compliance with all finance and tax filing requirements, audit and procedures;
• Assist in client’s new processes and system implementation, if any;
• Perform ad hoc duties as per assigned;
• Experience in tax computation, consolidation of accounts, forecasting and budgeting exercise will be an advantage.
