Our client is a leading global commodities MNC seeking an Accountant to support financial accounting, trading-related activities, and a fast-paced business environment in Singapore.

The role involves GL/AP/AR and month-end close, with collaboration across internal stakeholders. A degree or diploma in accounting or finance is required, with SAP experience advantageous. Strong detail-orientation and proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience in financial accounting or external audit, preferably in commodities, trading, financial services or derivatives.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and time-management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, and cash & bank functions.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end closing activities.
• Ensure timely processing and settlement of financial obligations.
• Assist with tax, audit and other financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, documentation and internal controls.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and issues.
• Support ad-hoc finance and accounting projects as required.

Our client is a leading global commodities MNC with an established international presence across multiple markets. The Finance team supports a fast-paced Commodity and Financial Services business, where the role will provide exposure to financial accounting, trading-related activities and a dynamic business environment.

We are looking for an Accountant who is detail-oriented, analytical and keen to develop their expertise within the commodities and financial services space.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and cash & bank functions
• Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end closing activities
• Ensure timely processing and settlement of financial obligations
• Assist with tax, audit and other financial reporting requirements
• Maintain accurate accounting records, documentation and internal controls
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and issues

Requirements
