Job summary

Charge+ in Singapore is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting, including GL entries, AP/AR, and reconciliations.

You will prepare monthly financial statements, monitor cash flow, GST returns, corporate tax computations, and liaise with auditors and tax agents as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in local accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks/MYOB) and Excel.
• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) or IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with financial data.
• Good organisational and time management skills with multi‑priority capability.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach to identify issues and drive resolutions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports.
• Monitor and follow up on receivables, payables and other outstanding financial matters.
• Coordinate the preparation and filing of GST returns and Corporate Income Tax computations with the Company’s appointed tax agent.
• Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretarial service providers and other professional advisers on annual filings, audits and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support the improvement of accounting processes, financial controls and reporting as the Company continues to grow.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in local accounting software (such as Xero, Quickbooks, or MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with confidence working with financial data.
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
• A proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to identify issues and see them through to resolution.
