Job summary

siltronic silicon wafer pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting for a multinational setting. The role covers GL, month-end close, and coordination of EDB grants.

You will work with SAP, enhance processes, prepare audit schedules, and support internal and external audits while ensuring accuracy of GST and corporate tax filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA/CA/ACCA).
• 5–8 years of accounting and tax experience in multinational settings.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation and reporting.
• Experience with month-end closing and GL management.
• ERP systems familiarity, SAP preferred; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate ledger.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Close month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities promptly.
• Prepare financial schedules and management reports.
• Ensure timely tax filing including Corporate Tax and GST.
• Prepare documentation for EDB grants and liaise for audits.
• Coordinate EDB grant audits and gather evidence.
• Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization and disposal.
• Support audits by providing schedules and responding to queries.
• Assist in SAP implementation and process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Prepare financial schedules, management reports, and supporting documentation for financial reporting purposes
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, submission, and compliance with all tax filing requirements, including Corporate Income Tax and Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Prepare and maintain documentation for claims under Economic Development Board (EDB) grants, including claim schedules, cost support, reconciliations, and required declarations
• Coordinate and manage EDB grant audits, including the collection, validation, organization, and timely submission of evidence from relevant functions
• Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including identification, recording, valuation, capitalization, and disposal of fixed assets
• Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries
• Support implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, including SAP, digitalization initiatives, and process improvement projects

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant accounting and tax experience, preferably within a multinational company environment
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting requirements
• Experience in month-end closing, general ledger management, and statutory compliance
• Familiarity with ERP systems (ideally hands-on experience with SAP), and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
