Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Financial Closing & Reporting: close full set of accounts (AR, AP, GL), monthly schedules and management reports.
• Cash Management: monitor daily cash balances and bank transactions.
• Audit & Tax: assist with statutory financial statements and GST/Corporate Tax filings.
• Compliance & Governance: document workflows, SOPs, and implement internal controls.
• Business Support: undertake ad-hoc projects to aid management decisions.

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous and hands-on Senior Accountant to support the Finance function of Gourmet Supplies and its related entities. In this role, you will take full ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide accurate financial insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Closing & Reporting: Ensure timely closing of a full set of accounts (across AR, AP and GL), including preparation of schedules, bank reconciliations and management reports on a monthly basis.

• Cash Management: Monitor daily cash balances, track cash flow inflows and outflows, and ensure bank transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Audit & Tax Management: Be involved in the preparation of financial statements for audit and handling of tax matters (Singapore GST and Corporate Tax filings).

• Compliance & Governance: Assist management in establishing the company’s internal controls and finance policies. This includes documenting current workflows, drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), and helping implement these new guidelines across the team.

• Business Support: Execute ad-hoc assignments and projects to support management decision-making as required.

About you

• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy/Finance, ACCA or its equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in finance operations

• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting software

• Proven ability to work independently, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• A strong eye for accuracy with a methodical approach to numbers
