Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional responsible for handling day-to-day finance operations. You will prepare financial statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has a degree in accountancy, at least 4 years of relevant experience, and is skilled in accounting software. Qualifications

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in IT or projects-related industry.
• Understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.
• Experience in handling multi-currency transactions is an advantage.

Job description

• You will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting and finance operations in a fast-paced technology environment. You will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, support internal controls, and assist in audit, tax, and compliance activities. The role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and to collaborate with other teams.

Key Responsibilities

Handle full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, month-end closing)

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

Review customer invoices and follow up on receivables

Manage supplier payments and employee expense claims

Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Prepare GST submissions and assist with tax computations

Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and banks

Assist in process improvement and implementation of accounting systems or automation tools

Required Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

Minimum 4 –5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the IT or projects-related industry

Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (BC or NAV) would be advantageous.

Understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations

Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized

Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in handling multi-currency transactions is an advantage

Exposure to intercompany transactions and project costing will be a plus
