Job summary

Level Infinite, Tencent's global gaming brand, is seeking a Senior 2D Artist to lead visual development across AAA titles. You will shape characters, environments, and key art, mentoring peers and integrating AI-assisted ideation into a hybrid craft workflow.

You will collaborate with the Head of Art and ICC leadership, driving high-fidelity marketing visuals and look development across multiple projects while staying ahead of industry trends.

Qualifications

• >6 years of professional concept art or character art experience in Games, Film, or high-end Entertainment with a strong portfolio
• An exceptional artistic eye for design, color, anatomy and storytelling with fundamentals mastery
• Proven ability in concept art and character craft: ideation, costume, silhouette, expression, and visual narrative
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into a creative pipeline (generative ideation, image synthesis, paint-over)
• Comfort with 3D tools (Blender, ZBrush, Maya, Marmoset) for blocking, kitbashing, lighting and presentation to support 2D concepting
• Deep proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine for look development, lighting and asset presentation
• Strong problem solving and ability to work from incomplete briefs or assets
• Highly mature, emotionally intelligent with professional feedback skills
• Deep affinity for video games, film, and creative industries

Responsibilities

• Lead visual development across characters, environments, props, key art and marketing moments from ideation to polished artwork
• Define look, silhouette and personality of characters through design, costume, expression and storytelling
• Integrate AI tools into ideation and production to accelerate exploration while maintaining craft
• Move between 2D and 3D, using 3D to block out and pose concepts before painting in 2D
• Produce design sheets, callouts and paint-overs to brief 3D artists and external vendors
• Demonstrate creative problem-solving when working from incomplete assets or tight deadlines
• Collaborate with Head of Art and ICC leadership across work and clients
• Stay up to date with creative tech, AI advances, art trends and game engines
• Mentor and elevate the 2D, concept and character craft of the team
• Contribute to studio growth and continuous improvement
