Job summary

VY SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Packing Materials Engineer to partner with suppliers in selecting and designing carriers for IC products. You will review designs, draft essential packing documents, and drive corrective actions for any non-conformances.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Science Engineering, with preferred SEMICON experience. CAD proficiency (AutoCAD) and ability to read engineering drawings are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Materials Science Engineering.
• Experience in SEMICON industry, Assembly and Test, packing material is preferred.
• Knowledge in AUTOCAD or any drawing apps, and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work with Packing Material (Tray, Carrier tape) suppliers to design or select suitable carrier for IC products.
• Review packing materials designs and propose changes if required.
• Draft, maintain and update supplier and customer-facing documents related to packing and media.
• Resolve non-conformance issues with supplied materials and follow up with suppliers for completion of corrective actions.
• Support on boarding activities of new suppliers for packing and labelling.
• Support managing 3rd party supplier (for reinspection and re-packing of IC products).
