Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 0–1 year of experience in customer support, field service, or related engineering/technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Able to travel up to 75% of the time to support overseas customers.
• Able to meet all on-site requirements, including safety, environmental guidelines, and customer/Applied protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers in installing, maintaining, and upgrading customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting.
• Apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address technical issues, with guidance from Senior Field Service Engineers.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers.
• Participate in projects/assignments in meeting organizational goals.
• Fulfill additional duties, as assigned.
