Job summary

Jane Street is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Network Security team. You will run, scale, and improve our security infrastructure through hands-on operations, design, and implementation.

The role requires strong networking fundamentals and firewall/proxy experience, plus collaboration with colleagues globally to deploy secure perimeter, manage segmentation, test platforms, and enhance observability through scripting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience operating and deploying network infrastructure.
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, PIM-SM).
• Strong firewall hardware knowledge and configuration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security perimeter and adjacent network infrastructure.
• Manage and evolve network segmentation and DMZ security.
• Evaluate and lab-test new platforms for network security.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to detect and mitigate threats.
• Interface with application owners to enable secure workflows.
• Enhance observability through scripting and better infrastructure tooling.
• Improve network security processes and documentation.
