Job summary

Jane Street Singapore Pte. Limited is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the Network Security team. You will help run, scale, and improve our security infrastructure through hands-on operations, design, and implementation.

You will collaborate with colleagues globally, resolve issues, plan deployments, and enhance observability. A strong background in routing, firewall architecture, and security concepts is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years operating and deploying network infrastructure.
• Experience with routing protocols OSPF, BGP, PIM-SM.
• Experience troubleshooting transport protocols TCP/UDP.
• Knowledge of firewall hardware architecture, performance metrics, and components.
• Understanding PKI and modern encryption techniques.
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with overlay networks (EVPN, VXLAN) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with Network Engineering to design and deploy security perimeter and adjacent network infrastructure.
• Manage network segmentation, DMZ, and security measures.
• Evaluate and lab test new platforms for security infra.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to detect and mitigate threats.
• Interface with application owners and traders to enable workflows securely.
• Enhance observability and scripting; communicate requirements to engineers.
• Improve network security processes and documentation.
