Job summary

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network, info and data security within complex enterprise environments.

• Understanding of security frameworks, risk management and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

Job description

As the Security Engineering Manager, you will lead the architecture, deployment, and operational management of our client's core Information Security (IS) platforms. You will blend strategic leadership with technical governance, overseeing a team of engineers to ensure robust control execution, regulatory compliance, and automated vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise security tools and present your designs to governance boards for approval.
• Manage security platforms end-to-end, handling everything from config and changes to incident and problem management within SLAs.
• Oversee core activities like vulnerability management, privileged access (PAM), and daily service requests.
• Keep senior leadership in the loop by building dashboards that track tool health, compliance audits, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, handle vendor relationships, and help optimize the platform budget.
• Provide leadership support during major security incidents, ensuring fast resolution and solid post-mortem fixes.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network, info, and data security within complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies such as CyberArk/BeyondTrust, Trend Micro/EDR, Elastic SIEM and Tenable (Vulnerability Management).
• Experience implementing, configuring and managing security tools in an enterprise environment including security services across platforms such as AWS.
• Good understanding of security frameworks, risk management and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001, NIST or SOC 2.
• Proven team leadership managing high-performing security engineering or operations teams.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and governance boards.
• Experience in banking, fintech or other regulated environments will be an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC or equivalent are advantageous.
