Job summary

The Securities Finance Operations Specialist at OCBC reports to the Vice President and will oversee end-to-end processing of securities lending, borrowing, repo, collateral, and corporate actions. You will ensure accurate settlement, instrument reconciling, and adherence to internal controls while collaborating with front office, risk, legal, and technology teams.

The role requires strong knowledge of securities finance products, risk awareness, and the ability to drive automation and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of securities finance operations experience.
• Strong understanding of lending, borrowing, repo, and collateral management.
• Knowledge of SEC, MAS, HKMA regulations and market practices.
• Proficiency in trade lifecycle, settlement, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily processing of securities lending, borrowing, and repo transactions.
• Familiar with Corporate Action event types, their application to the trade, and settlement.
• Manage collateral movements, margin calls, and substitution requests in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and escalation operational risks and exceptions in securities finance activities.
• Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency through automation and process redesign.
• Act as a liaison between front office, middle office, risk, legal, and external counterparties to ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Mentor junior team members and oversee their daily activities to ensure high-quality output.
