Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Associate/AVP to join its Southeast Asia M&A team. You will work on high-profile cross-border and domestic transactions across various sectors, supporting clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic reviews.

The role requires strong end-to-end M&A execution experience and a proven ability to manage transaction workstreams in a fast-paced investment banking environment, with opportunities to mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of relevant M&A or corporate finance experience.
• Strong end-to-end transaction execution across deal lifecycle.
• Solid financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in cross-border deals.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A transactions across Southeast Asia, including buy-side, sell-side, mergers, divestitures, and strategic advisory assignments.
• Build and review complex financial models, valuation analyses, merger models, and transaction materials.
• Prepare pitch books, board materials, information memorandums, management presentations, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions with clients, legal counsel, financial advisors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct industry, company, and market research to support transaction execution and origination efforts.
• Assist senior bankers in client relationship management and business development initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior team members where appropriate.
