Job summary

Lenovo in Singapore seeks a Scientific IT Officer (SITO) to manage daily IT support and long-term technology strategy across hardware and software. You will evaluate technologies, run proofs-of-concept, and coordinate projects from ideation to completion.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in IT or CS and 3+ years in endpoint support, with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time on-site role in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in endpoint support and project handling.
• Strong hands-on technical support experience in Windows/Linux/Mac OS/iPad environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills in a multi-tasking, fast-paced and complex work environment.
• Ability to work as a team and independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy and track scientific IT hardware assets and/or software licenses while ensuring compliance with vendor contracts/licensing terms.
• Design, execute and enhance scientific software and hardware asset management processes.
• Manage inventory of scientific IT assets and ensure accurate documentation of changes.
• Manage license compliance audits and respond to requests from software editors.
• Oversee lifecycle and technical support of scientific IT hardware and software from procurement to decommissioning.
• Apply continuous improvement to technology spend strategies.
• Asset Sighting: verify software assets against licensing contracts and inventory checks.
• Project management: coordinate with stakeholders for timely completion with proper documentation.
• IT Support: provide level 2 endpoints support and onboarding/offboarding, OS patching and upgrades.
• Generate reports including compliance and trend analyses.
