Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated Science Lab Support staff to assist daily operations in the Science department.

The role involves preparing teaching resources, labeling and tracking lab materials, and keeping the Science rooms organized and safe for lessons. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, stock-takes twice yearly, waste disposal, safety incident logging, and supporting competitions and assessments.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec (ITE) in Science or related field, or equivalent.
• At least one year experience assisting HOD-Science/In charge with daily Lab operations.
• Experience supporting Science programmes; STEM & Sustainability projects, and lab-based lessons.
• Proficient in preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Digital/admin proficiency (Google Forms, Excel, booking systems).
• Fluent in written and spoken English, good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to plan and work independently and in a team; experience with primary school students.
• First aid certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and learning support, e.g., prepare resources/materials for Science activities and enrichment programmes.
• Label and record existing/new Science materials and lab resources; maintain loan records.
• Pack and organise Science resources; ensure labs are clean and conducive to lessons.
• Ensure lab equipment and specimens are in good condition; conduct stock-takes twice a year.
• Dispose of waste materials safely; maintain safety incident log books and check safety devices.
• Support administration/logistics for Science competitions, assessments and survey results.
• Assist in safety briefings and equipment awareness; carry out any other duties from School.
