Job summary

RMA CONSULTANTS PTE LTD is assisting an MOE school in Singapore to recruit a dedicated Lab Support staff to assist Science laboratories and Makerspace facilities.

The role involves preparing experiments, supporting teachers, maintaining safety and inventory, and assisting hydroponics and fabrication activities. The position runs as a 1-year contract (Jan 1, 2027 to Dec 31, 2027) with potential extension, on a 5-day week schedule.

Qualifications

• GCE 'O' Level certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office in Word, Excel, Email and Google Tools.
• Able to multi-task and able to handle a fast paced environment.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience or with some basic knowledge of laboratory, chemicals and apparatus.
• Contract role for One year/extendable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up Science experiments, lessons, workshops, and CCA activities.
• Assist teachers with laboratory activities and additional Science projects.
• Support procurement of laboratory materials and equipment within budget.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and inventory of Science laboratories.
• Conduct stock-taking and maintain laboratory usage and equipment records.
• Support hydroponics/urban farming facilities, ecological gardens, and laboratory aquariums.
• Prepare materials and tools for makerspace activities and workshops.
• Manage and maintain makerspace equipment, including 3D printers and digital cutters.
• Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for users.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized makerspace environment.
