Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a School Science Lab Technician to support three laboratories and the makerspace. You will prepare and set up apparatus, retrieve and clean equipment, and assist teachers with lesson setup and safety.

The role requires GCE O’Level or equivalent, strong communication and planning skills, proficiency in MS Office, and experience in primary school science labs managing maths manipulatives is an advantage. You will also handle stock, vendor quotes, and light admin tasks.

Qualifications

• GCE O’Level or equivalent is required.
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Meticulous with strong planning and organising abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience in primary school science laboratories and managing maths manipulatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up apparatus, equipment and materials for Science and Maths lessons and Makerspace sessions.
• Provide direct technical support to teaching and learning in three science laboratories and Makerspace; conduct risk assessments when appropriate.
• Keep labs and preparation room clean, sanitised, safe, organised and secure when not in use.
• Maintain scientific instruments and ensure supplies are accessible; monitor stock and reorder essentials.
• Assist with resources establishment, maintain records, and liaise with vendors for quotations.
• Operate and maintain basic office equipment and perform administrative tasks as assigned.
• Cover reception duties and support adhoc tasks for school events as required.
