Job summary

GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a part-time School Science Support staff to prepare materials and manage science laboratories and outdoor facilities.

You will curate artefacts for teacher reflections and carry out stocktaking of science resources, while handling ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school. The role requires 2 years of relevant admin/operations experience, a team player with strong multitasking abilities, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE N levels with science-related subjects.
• Prefer 2 years of admin & operations experience in a school environment supporting science activities.
• Excellent team-player with strong organization & multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic IT skills.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills; English proficiency preferred.
• Singaporean or Singapore PR.

Job description

Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec2027 with an option to extend for a further period of 1 year

Working hours:

For Jan to Nov

• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 7:30am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

For Dec

• Service is required once a week, up to a maximum of four times per month.
• Each session will be three hours.
• Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
• The stated hours are estimates. The officer will be paid based on the actual hours worked.

Scope of services

• Preparation of materials and apparatus for science lessons
• Management, operation and maintenance of the science laboratories and outdoor facilities
• Carryout stocktaking of science resources
• Curating of students’ artefacts for teachers’ reflections
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by school

Qualifications, skills and experience

• (a)Shall have minimum GCE N levels or equivalent qualification with subject related to science
• (b) Should preferably have 2 years of relevant experience in administration and operations, preferably in supporting Science activities in a school environment
• (c) Should be an excellent team-player who is organized and with the ability to multi-task
• (d) Should be proficient in software skills (e.g. Microsoft office, video/picture taking)
• (e) Should have good communication and inter-personal skills
• (f)Proficiency in English is preferred
