Job summary

SEACARE MANPOWER SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Science Lab Assistant to support the school's laboratories in Singapore on a 1-year contract (Jan–Dec 2027). The role runs Mon–Fri, 7:30am–2:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break, and salary is SGD 13 per hour.

The successful candidate will prepare resources, assist teachers, maintain lab records, perform safety checks, and support the school garden/hydroponics system while ensuring a safe, well-equipped learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level
• At least 3 years of experience as a Science Lab Assistant in a school environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and support teachers and students effectively

SCIENCE LAB ASSISTANT – SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

Location: Singapore
Salary: Approx. $13/hour
Contract: 1 year (Jan–Dec 2027), with option to extend
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–2:00pm (30-min lunch break)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Science Lab Assistant to support the smooth and safe operation of the school's Science laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare resources and equipment for Science lessons and experiments
• Assist teachers with laboratory resources during lessons
• Maintain records of lab usage, resources and activities
• Conduct inventory checks and ensure equipment and resources are adequately stocked
• Assist in maintaining the school garden and hydroponics system
• Conduct safety checks and ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed
• Work closely with the Head of Department and Level Head Science

Service Schedule

Monday to Friday: 7:30am–2:00pm, with 30-minute lunch break

Service is also required during selected school holidays:

• March holidays – 2 days
• June holidays – 6 days
• September holidays – 2 days
• December holidays – 6 days

No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays, or other school holidays/days when the school is not operating, except for the specified dates above.
