Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a dedicated staff member to help run science laboratories, prepare materials, and assist teachers with lesson planning. The role involves lab upkeep across floors 2–4 and requires basic computer skills including MS Outlook and MS Office.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. Hours align with school schedules; duties include data entry, procurement support, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in administration and good communication/interpersonal skills.
• Completed Secondary education.
• Experience with MS Outlook and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help run science laboratories, prepare apparatus and materials for experiments.
• Assist in setup and upkeep of laboratory spaces across multiple floors without lifts.
• Support teachers in lesson preparation and procurement of equipment.
• Monitor and update storage inventory systems for lab supplies.
• Liaise with vendors/contractors for maintaining lab equipment and facilities.
• Invigilate science practical assessments and assist in school research projects.

Job description

Contract Period: From 1 January to 31 December 2027

Option to extend: From 1 January to 31 December 2028

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 4.30pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break.
• Fridays: 7.30am to 4pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break.
• The working hours may be changed based on lesson schedule provided by the teacher in charge.
• Service not required on Saturday, Sunday and gazette public holidays.

Requirements:

The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant expertise and work experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Completed Secondary education
• Relevant experience in administration will be preferred e.g. experience with use of MS Outlook (or equivalent e-mail software) and MS Office

Job Scopes：

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Helping to run science laboratories, including preparing apparatus and materials for experiments
• Able to climb staircases as laboratories are located from level 2 to level 4 and school does not have lifts
• Support the operation, housekeeping and maintenance of the school’s science laboratory and science room
• Set up materials and equipment for experiments
• Provide support and assist teachers in lesson preparation
• Assist in procurement of science equipment, instrument and materials
• Monitoring schedule for teachers using science laboratories
• Assist in the school's research projects
• Perform data entry and updating the storage inventory systems
• Liaise with vendors or contractors for maintaining lab equipment and facilities
• Invigilate science practical assessments
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor
