Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services is assisting a school in Singapore to hire a Science Laboratory Assistant who will support teachers by preparing and managing laboratory resources and activities. The role involves organizing equipment, maintaining inventories, and ensuring safety across Science rooms and facilities.

The successful candidate will also assist with stocktaking, waste disposal, and support science competitions and STEM projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec in Science or related field, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant Science laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Science/STEM programmes and laboratory-based lessons in schools is an advantage.

• Ensure Science rooms, laboratory equipment and safety facilities are clean, safe and in good working condition.

• Assist with proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintain incident records.
• Support Science competitions, assessments, STEM projects and school programmes.

Requirements:

• Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec in Science or a related field, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant Science laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Science/STEM programmes and laboratory-based lessons in schools is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and basic digital resource creation.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with primary school students preferred.
• Standard First Aid certification is an advantage.

Duration/Working hours:

1 year contract (Option to extend another year)(Dec 2026 to Dec 2027)

Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 0.5 hr lunch
break
Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 0.5 hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
