Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD invites a dedicated Programme Coordinator to design and implement student engagement initiatives. You will supervise youths, mentor at-risk students, and collaborate with teachers to support holistic development within an after-school setting in Singapore.

The role requires a Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Work, or related field and at least 2 years of youth-facing experience, with EA license No: 96C4864 and Reg. No.: R24121728.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage activities during student engagement programmes during term time.
• Organize and manage activities at the after-school engagement centre, ensuring meaningful and engaging activities.
• Develop holiday programmes during school breaks to maintain student engagement.
• Supervise students during activities, ensuring safety and positive interactions.
• Mentor identified students with a focus on goal-setting, academic support, and SEL competencies.
• Collaborate with teachers-in-charge to equip students with relevant skills and values.
• Ensure provision and preparation of necessary materials for all student engagement activities.
• Provide termly evaluations of the programmes and report on participation and impact.

Mon-Thu, 8:00am-5:30pm; Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm (1hr lunch break); no service on Sat, Sun or gazetted public holidays

What you'll do

Programme Design and Implementation

• Organize and manage activities during student engagement programme (e.g., Reintegration Programme, The Catalyst Programme, After-School Engagement) during term time.
• Organize and manage activities at the after-school engagement centre, ensuring they are meaningful and engaging for students.
• Develop holiday programmes during school breaks to maintain student engagement.

Student Supervision and Support

• Supervise students during activities, ensuring safety and positive interactions.
• Help manage and guide students towards building positive peer relationships and social-emotional competencies.
• Monitor and track student participation, following up with school personnel on non-participation.

Mentoring and Guidance

• Mentor identified students with a focus on goal-setting, academic support, and building social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies.
• Collaborate with teachers-in-charge to equip students with the relevant skills and values.

Resource Management and Activity Preparation

• Ensure the provision and preparation of necessary materials for all student engagement activities.
• Engage students in maintaining the designated after-school engagement room, ensuring it is conducive for activities.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Provide termly evaluations of the programmes, collecting feedback from students and preparing reports for school.
• Share updates and progress on student participation and programme impact for ongoing monitoring and improvement.
• Ensure adherence to the school's code of conduct during all activities.

Collaboration with School Personnel

• Work closely with school personnel to provide follow-up support for students needing additional help, including connecting students with community resources.
• Assist with other school-wide initiatives that support the holistic development of students through uplift efforts.

Review and Improvement

• Conduct review of the student engagement programme at the end of the academic year, recommending improvements for future implementation.

What you’ll need

• A Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Youth Work, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience working with youths.
