Job summary

PRIMESTAFF MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE LTD is partnering with a school to recruit a counsellor for small-group interventions and tiered preventive programmes. The role focuses on developing healthy peer relationships, enhancing social-emotional competencies, and collaborating with teachers to deliver planned activities.

Responsibilities include case management, restorative practices, and providing updates and evaluation reports to support reintegration and student development.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification/certification in Counselling, Social Work or related discipline.
• Preferably 2 years of experience in social services, supporting youths in school or community settings.
• Experience in socio-emotional intervention, case management and restorative work with youth.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with youths.
• Good case documentation and report-writing skills.
• Empathetic, mature and professional with confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
• Able to collaborate with teachers and student development staff; 2 years’ relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate small-group intervention sessions to develop healthy peer relationships and social-emotional competencies.
• Propose workplans and session plans, then collaborate with the Teacher-in-Charge to finalise plans for execution.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide timely updates and evaluation reports to the school.
