Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace is seeking a dedicated NFS Food Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations in our school kitchens. You will help keep kitchens clean, manage waste, and assist with lesson-ready ingredients in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include receiving daily deliveries, organizing inventory, stocking items, performing regular stock takes, and helping teachers and students during practical lessons, using FIFO for safe storage.

Qualifications

• Experience as an NFS Food Laboratory Assistant in a local secondary school setting.
• Must hold a valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 certification.
• Minimum GCE N-Level certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English to follow teachers' guidelines and maintain log sheets.
• Foundational proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email tools for basic inventory record keeping.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling protocols and safety measures regarding industrial cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, sanitised kitchen areas and equipment; manage waste disposal.
• Provide active operational support to teachers and students during practical lessons, ensuring FIFO storage of ingredients.
• Receive, verify, and organise daily incoming food deliveries; ensure accurate logging of stock.
• Perform deep, thorough cleaning and sanitisation during school holidays; conduct stocktaking of equipment and ingredients.
• Assist the Operations Manager with non-lab school operations and other duties as assigned.
