Job summary

IET Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a NFS Food Laboratory Assistant to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across food laboratories, kitchens, and workstations.

You will prepare ingredients and equipment for Nutrition and Food Science practical lessons and manage food deliveries and storage. The role requires a minimum GCE N-Level or equivalent and WSQ FSC Level 1 certification, with preference for existing NFS lab experience in a secondary school and solid English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE N-Level qualification or equivalent.
• WSQ FSC Level 1 certification required.
• Relevant working experience as an NFS Food Laboratory Assistant in a secondary school preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Good communication skills in English; basic Word, Excel and email skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of food laboratories, kitchens, workstations and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients, utensils and equipment for Nutrition and Food Science practical lessons.
• Receive food deliveries, organise supplies and ensure proper food storage and handling.
• Monitor kitchen inventory, check expiry dates and maintain stock records.
• Conduct laboratory cleaning and stocktaking during school holidays and assist with other assigned operational duties.
