Job summary

Junyuan Secondary School is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support FCE/NFS teachers with cooking practicals and school programmes. You will assist in lesson materials, maintain cookery rooms, and manage perishables and inventories to ensure a safe, clean learning environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in a similar role, hold a WSQ Level 1 Food Safety certificate, and work well with teachers and students while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Food & Nutrition Kitchen Assistant.
• Possess a valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for cookery lessons and practicals.
• Daily maintenance, cleaning and sanitising of two cookery rooms.
• Ensure cookery rooms are cleaned after every session and prep area kept safe.
• Provide updates on perishables and dry goods to teachers ordering classes.
• Maintain inventories of kitchen equipment and utensils.
